WASH, Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment
At SOHDA, we believe that access to clean water, sanitation, hygiene, and sustainable livelihoods are essential foundations for healthy, resilient, and prosperous communities. Through our WASH and Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment Program, we work to improve public health, strengthen food security, create economic opportunities, and empower vulnerable populations to achieve self-reliance and long-term development.
Our integrated approach combines Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions with livelihood support, agricultural development, skills enhancement, and income-generating opportunities to address both immediate needs and long-term community resilience.
A) Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
Access to safe water and adequate sanitation is fundamental to human dignity, health, and development. SOHDA is committed to reducing waterborne diseases, improving hygiene practices, and ensuring sustainable access to safe water for vulnerable communities.
B) Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment
SOHDA recognizes that sustainable development requires economic opportunities that enable individuals and families to support themselves with dignity. Our Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment Program focuses on strengthening household incomes, improving food security, and creating pathways toward self-reliance and economic growth.
b) Agriculture and Farming Development
Agriculture remains a vital source of income and food security for many communities. SOHDA supports farmers with the knowledge, resources, and tools needed to improve productivity and increase household income.
