Access to Quality Education
SOHDA works to improve equitable access to quality education for children, adolescents, and vulnerable populations by supporting learning environments that are safe, inclusive, and conducive to academic achievement
During emergencies, conflicts, droughts, floods, and displacement crises, education often becomes disrupted, leaving children vulnerable to exploitation, child labor, early marriage, and other protection risks. SOHDA prioritizes education in emergencies to ensure that learning continues even during times of crisis. Quality education depends on qualified, motivated, and well-supported teachers. SOHDA invests in strengthening teacher competencies and professional development to improve learning outcomes and educational quality.
SOHDA recognizes that achieving quality education for all requires strong partnerships and collective action. We actively collaborate with government institutions, educational authorities, United Nations agencies, international NGOs, donor organizations, and local communities to strengthen education systems and expand learning opportunities across Somalia.
