Our Approach
SOHDA’s work is guided by the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, accountability, inclusion, and sustainability. We prioritize locally led solutions, community participation, and evidence-based programming to ensure that interventions are responsive, effective, and sustainable.
Through strong partnerships with government institutions, local authorities, community leaders, civil society organizations, United Nations agencies, international non-governmental organizations, donors, and development partners, SOHDA contributes to national and global efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development, reducing vulnerability, and improving human well-being
Partnerships & Capacity
SOHDA works closely with local communities, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Somali diaspora networks, building strong grassroots relationships and local implementation capacity.
The organization aspires to expand and strengthen its partnerships with UN agencies, international NGOs, and donor institutions in the near future. SOHDA is committed to aligning its systems, programs, and operational standards with international humanitarian coordination mechanisms and global best practices, positioning itself as a reliable and capable partner for collaborative, large-scale interventions.
